Democrats increased their advantage in Florida voting today, up a tick from 1.8% yesterday to 1.9% today. In ’08, Republicans actually had a 1.3% advantage at this time, so Democrats are doing pretty well at getting out their voters. Still, they’re going to need every bit of that based on the closeness of the race there. Another 384,000 ballots were cast in the last 24 hours, pushing the total to over 3 million, 3,052,000. A decent 36.1% of voters have now cast their ballots in Florida. Overall, it’s looking like about 45% of votes will be in by election day. Again, this data seems consistent with the model as it shows a very competitive race. There’s a reason Obama and Romney are still traveling here this weekend.
